We didn't get a chance to see all areas of the castle as they had a group booked in one of the main prisons, which the group leader didn't know about. As there were public tours going on, it all felt quite rushed, as to not let the group behind us, catch up. The leader was kind, had a lot of knowledge and the children enjoyed the stories and the sights, but they weren't given much time to truly appreciate it. It just felt disorganised.

It was a good visit and a really interesting place but after I had booked and organised transport, I was told that some of the rooms would be closed for maintenance. We were disappointed.
