The centre provided some great workshops based around habitats, tree and plant identification and using nature to create art.

We had a fantastic time at Brockholes with the Reception children. The education officers were brilliant with the children and everything was very well organised.

A thoroughly enjoyable day. River study looked at a model of the river, then went down to the River Ribble to look at the features for real. The children then enjoyed making their own river models in the woods. The children also enjoyed making shelters. It was a shame we couldn't build a fire as it was breezy but they did attempt making sparks using the flint. Beautiful weather so a great day. I can imagine with poor weather it would have been a different story. Even with good weather, the ground was quite muddy and slippy. We did have one slip but no injuries.
