We are open 9am to 6pm during British Summer Time, and 9am to 4pm the rest of the year. We are closed on Christmas Day.
No admission ticket required, just pay for your parking for the day. Parking prices start at £3.20 per hour, and are capped at £15.50. Minibus parking is £28 for the day, and coaches are £50.
Additional activities like Go Ape, archery, and adventure golf are an additional charge and need to be booked directly with the providers.

High Lodge is a safe space in nature for every generation to escape and be free. Providing opportunities for adventure and exploration with a range of exciting activities around every corner.
With play areas dotted around the forest, beautiful walking trails winding through the trees and waymarked cycling trails for all. Open all year, High Lodge is home to the Gruffalo, seasonal activities and events.
We have an outdoor classroom available to book, activity bags to hire, and a range of free resources available for lots of key stages and subjects.

There is a wide range of activities you can do whilst there and you can take you own tasks, it is a large area so allows you to enjoy the visit without being in crowded places. There is lots of opportunity for students to be active (walking, cycling, play areas), creative (building dens, natural art) and enjoy being in the outdoors. You can tailor your visit to suit any academic outcomes within reason.

Lovely place with great play equipment and forest. Good for walking, biking etc. Facilities are great.
